When one is mindful, they are fully present with themselves and their surroundings. They are not thinking about what was or what will ultimately be, they are thinking about all that is NOW. In society today we often tend to dismiss all that is in this moment because we are so caught up with life and its trial and tribulations that we forget to embrace all of life’s beauty and everything that it has to offer. When you make the choice to be mindful of the this day and everything it has to offer, life’s challenges become easier to navigate, and the things you love most to do become that much more enjoyable.
I struggled with this concept myself, always looking too far back into the past, and much too far into the future. I never lived in the present, hell I never LIVED; I just existed. I struggled with this concept myself, always looking too far back into the past, and much too far into the future. I never lived in the present, hell I never LIVED; I just existed. I focused all of my energy on my MISTAKES made in my past, never looking upon them as learning experiences, but rather as roadblocks stopping me dead in my tracks. Many years would pass, and I soon started to see that it was not my past mistakes that would define my present, and ultimately my future, but how I looked at them. I began to search deeper within myself, and I started to see every experience as a blessing in disguise. This allowed me to further deepen my relationship with who I was and my true purpose, and amazing things began to happen. I started living more for each day, and enjoying all of the BEAUTY that it held in store for me. Loving life to the fullest extent.
Put your past behind you, but never hide from it. Learn from your past and take those lessons to your present moments, allowing you to fully embrace your NOW propelling you even further towards your ultimate destination.
